Cold brewing is a soft gentle way of steeping your tea allowing the sweet and umami ingredients to be extracted. This simple process allows you to extract wonderful flavours of different teas in chilled form without tannin bitterness.
The Hario Cold Brew Tea Filter in a bottle is designed with simplicity and convenience in mind. It’s four-piece design is well sealed, yet comes apart easily and made wine bottle size holding up to 750ml, so it fits into a fridge door shelf.
To use simply remove the silicon rubber pour spout/filter, add your dry tea leaves, fruit or herbs into the glass container then 750ml of cold-filtered water, replace the spout/filter and place into your fridge door to refrigerate.
Enjoy your creation in a matter of 4-8 hours.
Uncork and serve your cold steeped oolong, green or blended tea into a tall stem glass at the table as you would a wine for the full effect.
The rubber pour spout is made of silicone, the filter is made of polypropylene and borosilicate glass.

1. Just put in water and tea leaves
2. Let it set 4-8 hours or over night and delicious tea is ready the next morning
3. As a filter is incorporated into the spout, you can pour the tea as it is into a glass, just remove the cork
4. Serve in fine glassware
A good rule of thumb is use twice the amount of tea you ordinarily use for a hot steep and then adjust to personal preference.
Depending on the quality of your local water tap water could be fine but for best results use filtered or purified.
